March 2009 Welcome after a long silence, as usual. I would like to inform you, that at the end of March our debut album 'Death March Fury' will be released for the territory of Poland by Witching Hour Productions, which is run by Bart from Hermh. Expect deluxe packaging and, of course, crushing sounds! For now, the album will only be available in music stores in Poland, but if you live abroad you can still order it from Witching Hour and receive it by mail. August 2008 We have finally and definitely finished working on our debut album. It was often difficult and totally stressful but the results will knock people out! Many thanks to Janos and Progresja Studio, who did everything in his power to make things work during the recording and mixing of the album, and also to Szymon Czech from Studio X, who did the mastering. Great work guys! Thanks! I’m sure that this album will kick some ass and remind everyone that Polish Death Metal rules! We didn’t really put much work into label search until now, so it may take a while before the album gets released, but you can already check out some samples here In addition we reveal our cover art. May 2008 - Hello! We are happy to inform you that we have just laid down the final tracks for our debut album. To be honest, it went far beyond our expectations, and that is mostly because we decided to strengthen the MASA-squad by adding a vocalist, who is one of the best in the genre. We are talking about PIG - the former throat destroyer of DECAPITATED. Welcome aboard! There is no way we could not mention that we also have a special guest on this album. It is my personal highlight of the year and probably will come as a surprise to many of you. I would like to thank Adam(ex-LOST SOUL) without whom it might not have happened. But here is the whole story in the words of Mr. PIG. "It turns out you can't live without death metal, at least not for long...haha...But there really wasn't much to think about when considering taking part in this crime known as MASACHIST, since it is a bunch of my old friends, and I was sure they will make some good death metal shit. |

My final decision was made when I heard the songs - real death metal, with the actual essence of the style, without any of this new school crap. It got me started, hahaha... We recorded the album in Progresja Studio without any problems and had a lot of fun, sometimes maybe a little too much, and since at the time of recording the vocals IMMOLATION were playing a gig in Warsaw, we were able to get them in the studio and feature Ross Dolan on one of the songs! This was the biggest surprise for us and definitely something special for fans of IMMOLATION, including us of course. Thanks a lot Ross! All in all we have nine songs, which you just have to hear if the words "death metal" mean anything to you! Of course I should also add that "Death March Fury" is the fastest, heaviest and meanest stuff this world has ever heard and MASACHIST is a Prophet that saves Death Metal and brings a guiding light to all those lost new-metal sheep and kids singing along to melodic choruses. January 2008 - Hello again, after a long silence! We are currently recording our debut album "DEATH MARCH FURY" at Progresja studio in Warsaw. So far we have recorded the drum and guitar parts. As for the drums, I have to say that Daray totaly outdid himself this time. Absolute fury, violence and bone breaking! In his own words, he has never before recorded such insane drum lines, and I must add that this album will once again prove that he truly deserves to wear that black belt of extreme drumming!!! I have played with many amazing drummers, including Zombek (Yattering), Inferno and recently Adam from Lost Soul (awesome death metal band), but fuck! Right now Daray is simply the best! Non-believers will soon be proven wrong! As for the music itself, well...I`m extremely satisfied, ha ha! Never in my life have I written such brutal riffs! There is speed, there is power, but also a totally heavy groove! I can`t wait for it to come out! It is still not certain which label we will be working with, but as soon as we figure it out, we will let you know! For now you will get a studio teaser, with others to follow. With a slight delay, caused by some technical as well as logistical problems, we have finished our promo. You can hear two songs, "Malicious Cleansing" and "Open the Wounds", on our Myspace page. In addition we have thrown in a short film of Daray's drum session - a pretty cool stuff.
This is the appropriate time to introduce the rest of the line-up. During the recording session we were joined by Heinrich, known from VESANIA and ROOTWATER, and Aro of SHADOWS LAND, so for today MASACHIST consists of Daray - drums, Thrufel - lead & rhythm guitar, vocals, Aro - rhythm guitar, vocals and Heinrich - bass. The man behind the lyrics is Brezniev, a talented lyricist, whom some of you might know for his work on "Murder's Concept" and "Genocide" albums of my former band Yattering.
I hope that this is the line-up which will be recording our debut album and that nothing will prevent us from achieving our goal. Of course it will take time, but with this band such methods of working are unavoidable, unfortunately.

Thrufel & MASACHIST

MASACHIST is a band formed by Thrufel (guitarist known from AZARATH and YATTERING) and Daray (drummer of VADER, VESANIA and NEOLITHIC).
The idea of creating MASACHIST has been in my mind for years but it finally took it's shape after meeting Daray in 2005. Convergent music tastes and views on playing extreme sounds resulted in a will to create something new, fresh and different from what we've been playing with our bands.
Due to Daray`s responsibilities in VADER we could not rehearse regulary. Nevertheless, our determination resulted in writing a promising material. So far we have recorded drum tracks for our two-song promo. You can find a sample of it here (press right mouse button and click 'save target as...' function or similar). The rest of the material should be recorded sometime in January`07.
We would like to stress that it is not just a brief cooperation. We are currently working on a full length album. More details coming soon. Stay Tuned!
